With Appointment booking, patients book the next one in a few taps, on their way out of the clinic or at home in the evening, on a slot that is actually free. Each slot takes a single booking, and each booking triggers a confirmation email, to the clinic and to the patient. Link them to your Google Calendar, with your hours and exceptional closures. Need a gap to prepare the room or get on the road? Split the day into time ranges spaced that far apart. [See all prices](https://www.goodbarber.com/pricing/content/) ## Physiotherapy clinic app: frequently asked questions **### Which app should a physiotherapy clinic choose?** An app in the clinic's name on the App Store and Google Play that your patients carry with them: practical information, specialties, home-visit area, announcements and, if you wish, each physio's calendar. GoodBarber builds it without code. It is not practice management software: no patient records, no billing, no insurance claims. **### What is a physiotherapist allowed to publish in their app?** The same as on the clinic website: the app is a communication medium, subject to your regulator's rules. In the UK, the HCPC's standards of conduct require any promotion of your services to be accurate and not misleading. Present your team, specialties, fees and hours, and keep health advice evidence-based. In France, the physiotherapists' code of ethics also rules out patient testimonials and any commercial tone, and the profession's regulator recommends automatic confirmation and no free-text field in an online calendar: Appointment booking sends a confirmation email for each booking, and you choose the form fields. **### Are sessions booked in the app health data?** Treat them as such: knowing that someone sees a physiotherapist already says something about their health. In the EU and the UK, this is special-category data under the GDPR; in the United States, it can be protected health information under HIPAA; France also requires a certified health-data host (HDS), which GoodBarber is not. GoodBarber's terms leave it to you to check that the service fits the rules that apply to you. If those rules call for a certified host, keep your certified online calendar and add a section in the app that links to it. Either way, do not ask for medical history or documents in the app. **### Can patients book their whole course of sessions?** They book one session at a time, on an open slot, as many times as needed, and can book the next ones in advance. Each booking triggers a confirmation email, to the clinic and to the patient. **### Can we organize home visits?** Yes: publish the towns you cover on a map and create a "Home visit" section with its own slot length. Space its time ranges by the travel time, and ask for the address in a field of the booking form. **### How much does a physiotherapy clinic app cost?** A native iOS and Android app starts with the Premium plan; Appointment booking is added, and the Pro plan includes it. The Standard plan, limited to the web app, does not offer Appointment booking. Hosting, notifications and updates are included; developer accounts are paid directly to Apple and Google. **### Does the app send a reminder before the session?** Not automatically: each booking triggers a confirmation email, to the practice and to the patient. For a reminder, schedule a push notification from the back office. **### What about exercises to do at home?** Publish them in the same app, as videos and sheets, and let your patients know with a notification when a new program is online.
