### Name, species, age: the booking form introduces the pet before it arrives

Owners open Appointment booking, pick the appointment type, vaccination, consultation or pre-surgery visit, and the vet, then an open slot. In the form, you ask for what helps you: the pet's name, species, age and a phone number. Each slot takes a single booking, and each booking triggers a confirmation email, to the clinic and to the owner.

## Veterinary clinic app: frequently asked questions

**### Which app should a veterinary clinic choose?**

An app in the clinic's name on the App Store and Google Play that brings together appointment booking, your advice sheets and notifications, with no third-party service to add. GoodBarber has built these without code since 2011. The app is not veterinary practice management software, though: no medical records for the animal, no billing, no inventory.

**### Can owners book appointments online?**

Yes. Appointment booking shows each vet's open slots, synced with their Google Calendar. Each slot takes a single booking, and each booking triggers a confirmation email, to the clinic and to the owner.

**### Can we ask for details about the pet when booking?**

Yes, you choose the form fields: pet's name, species, age, microchip number, phone. The same form serves every calendar in the app.

**### What is a vet allowed to publish in their app?**

The same as on the clinic website: the app is a communication medium, subject to your regulator's rules. In the UK, the RCVS guidance on advertising asks for advertising that is accurate and truthful and complies with the CAP Code. Keep health content evidence-based and do not promote prescription-only medicines. In France, the rural code (article R.242-35) also forbids client testimonials and comparisons with other vets, and the profession's regulator rules out discounts and loyalty cards.

**### Can the app send vaccine reminders?**

Not automatically. The record built with the AI Extension Builder shows the next due date on the owner's phone, and a seasonal notification prompts all your clients to check their pet's vaccines.

**### How much does a veterinary clinic app cost?**

A native iOS and Android app starts with the Premium plan, plus Appointment booking; the Pro plan includes it. The Standard plan, limited to the web app, does not offer Appointment booking. Hosting, notifications and updates are included; developer accounts are paid directly to Apple and Google.

**### Does the app handle emergencies?**

It shows the clinic's number and what to do, and the call starts in one tap. An emergency is handled by phone, not by a booking.

**### Where is your clients' data hosted?**

On servers located in Europe. The app's Privacy Center also handles consent, the permissions requested on the phone and the terms of use. Information about the pet is not human health data.
