# Configure the privacy policy URL for the App Store

## 1. Create your Privacy Policy

Apple's guidelines require to provide a valid privacy policy URL on [App Store Connect](http://appstoreconnect.apple.com) for your app.
This is mandatory for the initial submission or an update of your app on the store.

**A/ You do not have a privacy policy**

1. Follow instruction of this online help to set your privacy policy on your app.
2. Update your app Settings
3. Copy your Privacy Policy URL from your PWA*

**if your PWA is not published, you'll be able to get a HTML URL of your policy in the menu Settings > Other Settings > My Files once you've set it in your back office.*

**B/ You already have a privacy policy made outside your app**

If you already have a Privacy Policy of your own, you can use its existing URL.

To build your iOS app if you have activated one of the following features on your app:
*Comments*and/or *Submit section* and/or *In-App Purchase extension* and/or *Authentication extensions*

1. Follow instruction of the step 1 of this online help  to set your privacy policy on your app to allow the generation of your iOS app.
2. Do not create a link to your GoodBarber Privacy Policy section if you do not want to display it on your app (steps 2 and 3 of this online help )
You can use a Click to section instead to link your own Privacy Policy Url in your app.

## 2. If you are in the Review Process (First Submission)

If you are in the [Review Process](https://www.goodbarber.com/help/goodbarber-takes-care-gbtc-publication-service-r80/understand-the-ios-review-and-publication-process-gbtc-service-a321/) , provide your Privacy Policy URL in the brief before requesting your review.

## 3. If you are submitting an update to the App Store

If you are [updating an existing app](https://www.goodbarber.com/help/publish-your-ios-app-yourself-solo-r75/replace-an-existing-ios-app-with-your-goodbarber-app-a246/) on the store, provide the Privacy Policy URL in the App Information tab in the dedicated field.
