Abandoned order extension

This extension helps you recover sales from customers who abandon their purchase during the checkout process.
From the list of abandoned orders in your back office, you can manually send a follow-up email, a push notification, or both. This message reminds the customer about the items and encourages them to return to finalize the order.

To create an abandoned order:
- The customer must be logged into the app account
- The customer must access the check out page, simply adding items to a cart is not enough. The customer must have actively started the final checkout process.
- The customer must leave the checkout process. This happens if they close the app, close their browser tab without finalizing the payment.
If the customer clicks "Back" or navigates away from the checkout to continue shopping within your app, the process is considered voluntarily stopped and will not create an abandoned order.
- The checkout session expires after one hour. If the customer does not complete the purchase within this time, the abandoned order is then generated.
- The abandoned order appears in your back office. You can then view it under Orders > Abandoned orders.

Stock Management:
If stock management is enabled for a product, its quantity will be held during the one-hour checkout session. If the order is abandoned, the product is automatically restocked and made available for other customers.

1. Go to the menu Extension Store > All extensions > Abandoned order
2. Click "Install"

Push template
1. Go to the menu Settings > Push template
2. Select "Abandoned order" to set your push template.

Email template
1. Go to the menu Settings > Email template
2. Select "Abandoned order" to set your email template.

1. Go to the menu Orders > Abandoned orders
2. Select the abandoned order, then use the drop down menu to send a recovery email, or a recovery push or both.

Note: Only abandoned orders from the last 2 months are displayed.
The abandoned order statistics visible in Statistics > Activity also count abandoned orders older than 2 months.
