Friday Talk: FAQ Building process

on

Hello GoodBarbers, today we're going to talk about a few questions you ask a lot about the building process of your application.

1- "I tested the HTML5 version of my application, how can I test the native version?"

To test the native version on your mobile, you need to build your app. To do it, go to your backend, menu Publication >> Submission, then select the platforms (iOS or Android) and follow the process.

For this, you need to have an Apple developer account to test your app on an iPhone, and a GMail address to test your app on an Android Phone. A paid Android  developer account  is only required if you want to publish your app in Google Play.

2- "I tried to install the Ad Hoc version of my iPhone application, but it's not working, why?"

Most of the time, when you try to install the iOS version of your app on your iPhone, when it fails it's because you didn't authorize your phone during the building process. To do it, integrate your phone (you can add extra phones if you want) in the AdHoc certificate you have to send during the process. All the phones you will integrate are going to be able to receive the Ad Hoc version of your application when you built it.

3- "My backend is locked, why?"

When you build your app, the backend is locked, so you can't touch anything. It is a security.
When the process is done, you'll receive an e-mail and you'll have 3 options:
- install the test version on your mobile
- make some modifications that will unlock your back end
- submit the application to the stores, your back end will be locked until the end of the submission

4- "What's the GoodBarber $50 option?"

If you don't want to submit your application by yourself, GoodBarber can do it for you. You just need to give us some information and we will do it for you using your Apple and Android dev account. You'll pay $50 for both stores ;)
It's a good way to be cool... GoodBarber is here for you!

Thank you Jérôme and see you next week guys ;)
