What's new at Goodbarber? January 2019

This year we started strongly with the release of a new back office version: GoodBarber 4.7
GoodBarber 4.7 main goal is CMS (Content Management System) improvement. In the version 4.7 , CMS was designed for a smooth, efficient content management, no matter the content volume of the app.
We’ve also implemented a new way to preview your app. With the idea in mind to keep a visually clean interface, only the smartphone format is available from the back office. If you want to preview your app in all the available formats (mobile, tablet or desktop) click on the preview link (top right).
You’re already enjoying all the benefits of GoodBarber 4.7 but if you are interested in learning more about this new version, don’t hesitate to read this article .

Home section
In Navigation widgets template Big Carousel, fixed an issue that caused a crash when no link were set.
Article section
Fixed an issue that caused the text font size chosen in the back office not applied in the detail view.
Fixed an issue that caused the selected tab hidden in the circle band categories template.
Video section
Fixed an issue that caused the selected tab hidden in the circle band categories template.
Photo section
Fixed an issue that caused the selected tab hidden in the circle band categories template.
Sound section
Fixed an issue that caused the header not displayed in the detail view.

Android native apps
Home section
In Navigation widgets, fixed an issue that caused wrong display of vertical margins.
Fixed an issue that caused wrong display of vertical margins when the widget header was enabled.
Sound section
In detail view, iframes will now open the content in external browser.
In detail view, <video> HTML tags will now open the video in the native video player.
Other fixes and improvements
A scroll animation has been added when swiping between categories.
PWAS
General
Now the “Helvetica neue Roman” font is properly handled.
The user experience has been improved by putting the Cookie consent view at the bottom of the screen instead of the top of the screen.
In header, fixed an issue that caused the header overlapping device status bar. This issue was happening on iOS iPad devices when the app was installed on Home screen.
Article section
Fixed an issue that caused impossible to swipe between categories from the item lists.
In list template 5, fixed a display issue on Firefox browser.
Video section
Fixed an issue that caused impossible to swipe between categories from the item lists.

Photo section
Fixed an issue that caused impossible to swipe between categories from the item lists.
Map section
Fixed an issue that caused the background color of the detail view not applied.

Fixed a navigation issue, when a search section was set as first section of the app (and no Home section enabled).

Fixed an animation issue on iOS.
Live video add-on
Fixed an issue that caused the view not clickable anymore after some animations.
Live+ add-on
Fixed an issue that caused a 404 redirection when it was impossible to get the song metadatas.
Authentication add-on
The core engine has been updated to Angular 7.
In profile section, fixed an issue that caused the view not clickable anymore after some animations.
Now any space characters are forbidden in passwords.
In the sign-up view, fixed an issue that caused an error message displayed while the registration was successful.
Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the profile section locked with un “authorized” screen.
In the sign-up view, now the click on the “Accept terms” checkbox label triggers the opening of the terms view, instead of ticking the checkbox.
In profile section, fixed an issue that caused the profile picture update not working in some cases.
Chat add-on
Fixed an issue that caused a conversation still displayed while it was deleted.
Loyalty card add-on
Fixed an issue that caused impossible the punch validation when the “share” method was chose. This issue was only happening on PWA iOS installed on Home screen.
Other fixes and improvements
Now links to PDF file always open the browser when the PWA is installed on Home Screen. This has been made in order to prevent cases where the user can’t go back to the app after the PDF file opening.
We now properly display a pointer cursor on buttons in Internet Explorer 11 & Edge browsers.
Fixed an issue on views with “infinite” scroll on Internet Explorer 11 browser.
Fixed an issue that caused the iOS prompt install to Home screen not displayed when the SMS push notifications dialog was displayed before.
Plugins
gbGetUser() method
On Android, fixed an issue that caused the method not working when the user had a specific character in his description.
getLocation() method
On PWA, fixed an issue that caused the method not working on some devices.
