This month, we are thrilled to announce the launch of GoodBarber Open, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing developers and advanced users of GoodBarber with greater autonomy in customizing their applications. The result of a year-long project led by our technical teams, GoodBarber Open embodies our commitment to fostering creativity and flexibility in application development. Through this initiative, developers and expert users benefit from unprecedented freedom to manipulate code and configuration files.
 
Below you'll find a summary of developments and updates carried out during the month of January 2024:

GoodBarber eCommerce App

  • Home section
    • In Article widgets using the Classic template, fixed an issue that could cause an unexpected text to be displayed. iOS
    • Fixed an issue that caused Text widgets to not be displayed. iOS
    • Performances of the page have been improved. PWA
 
  • Checkout page
    • Fixed an issue that caused a space missing between the local pickup button and the name field. PWA
 
  • List of collections section
    • On Swipe submenu templates, fixed an issue that caused a crash of the page when the first section displayed is a List of collections section. PWA
 
  • Articles section
    • In lists using the Condensed template, fixed an issue that caused the title to not be left-aligned when there wasn't any thumbnail displayed. iOS
    • In blog posts detail pages, fixed an issue that could cause links targeting another blog post to lead to a 404 page. iOS
    • In lists using the Immersive template, fixed an issue that caused scroll to next items to not be working. PWA
 
  • Events section
    • In events detail pages, fixed an issue that could cause the map not to be displayed. PWA
 
  • Podcasts section
    • Fixed an issue that could cause a crash of the application when the user was trying to play a sound while another sound was already playing. iOS
    • In podcasts detail pages using the ToolBar Swipe template, fixed an issue that caused the toolbar to be automatically closed when a podcast was played. iOS
 
  • Photos section
    • In photos detail pages, it's now possible to change the background color by using an Advanced property. iOS Android PWA
    • In photos detail pages, fixed an issue that caused the Audio player to be displayed on the photo description. Android 
 
  • Form section
    • Fixed an issue that caused the shape setting to not be applied to the background of the form. iOS  Android 
 
  • About section
    • On Banner and Full Banner templates, fixed an issue that caused the section 'detail/disableDiaporama' Advanced property to not be working.  Android 
 
  • Contact section
    • Fixed an issue that caused borders to not be correctly displayed.  iOS 
    • Fixed an issue that caused the shape setting to not be working.  Android 
 
  • Submission section
    • It's now possible to force the device camera to be used to submit a picture using an Advanced property.  PWA 
 
  • URL section
    • The camera permission is now prompted when the input is an image or a video.  Android 
 
  • Custom code section extension
    • A new method has been added to the GoodBarber App API : 'gb.device.contextUUID' that allows you to identify devices in custom code extensions.  iOS Android PWA 
    • On iPad devices, fixed an issue that could cause the view to be scrollable where it shouldn't. iOS
    • Fixed an issue that caused links that redirects to another section of the application to not be working. iOS
    • Fixed an issue that caused 'gb.location.params' to not be available at the section loading. iOS
    • Fixed an issue that caused 'gb.location.params' to be lost when going back in the pages history. PWA

The new GoodBarber back office: more clarity to build your app

It all starts with the design. A new typeface, Plus Jakarta Sans, a blue for the interface, a green kept for publishing and confirming, softer corners, gentle shadows and redrawn icons. The whole thing reads calmly, and every color has a job: blue guides, green confirms.In My App, your app's preview takes the center of the screen and the settings sit together in a panel on the right. You edit on one side, you see the result on the other, and your app stays in front of you the whole time.
