The practice closes for two weeks

A notification gives the dates and the locum doctor's name; the practical sheet says where to go in the evening and on weekends.

Seasonal vaccination starts

An article explains who should come and when, and a notification tells everyone who uses the app on the day the campaign opens.

A heatwave is coming

Advice for older people and young children, published the day before, flagged by a notification, reread at the right time.

Three notices a practice sends every year

Build your practice's app and try it for 30 days, no credit card required.

What your patients find in the practice's app

Hours and walk-in times

Each doctor's days, the walk-in half-days and closures, on a sheet you keep up to date.

Fees

Each doctor's fees and the payment methods you accept.

The health center team

Doctors, nurses, physios, midwife: one page per profession, with contact details.

Prevention articles

Vaccination, allergies, bronchiolitis, travel: articles sorted by topic, written or reviewed by the team.

Getting to the practice

The address, parking, wheelchair access and directions, opened in one tap from the map.

Evenings and weekends

The numbers to call when the practice is closed, at the top of the contact page.

Set up the practice's app in three steps

What you prepare in the back office, without code.
  1. The practical sheet

Address, each doctor's hours, walk-in times, fees, useful numbers: a Contact section and a map that you update yourself.
  2. The prevention sections

One articles section per topic: vaccination, children, travel. An article is written once and read all year.
  3. Notifications

A notification shows on the lock screen: keep it for general information, a closure or a campaign, never for information about a patient.

AI in the practice's app

Three concrete uses, with their price.
To answer

Practical questions, without picking up the phone

"Is the practice open on Saturday?" The Chatbot answers from the sheets and articles published in your app, in the language of the question. It relies on what you have published and gives no medical advice.
$35/month
To extend

The week's rota

Describe the section you want, for example "a table showing which doctor is in each day of the week, locums included", and the AI Extension Builder generates it in your app, in your design.
Free
To publish

The announcement drafted with Claude or ChatGPT

The MCP server connects your app to the AI assistant you already use: you dictate the closure notice, you review it, and it publishes it and prepares the notification once you approve.

Medical practice app: frequently asked questions

What is a general practice app for?

Keeping the patients you already care for informed: hours, walk-in times, closures, locum doctors, vaccination campaigns and prevention advice, with a notification when needed. GoodBarber builds this app without code, published in your name on the App Store and Google Play. It is not medical software: no patient records, no prescriptions, no insurance claims.

What is a doctor allowed to publish in the practice's app?

Your app is a communication medium like your website, subject to your regulator's rules. In the UK, the GMC's Good medical practice expects the information you publish about your services to be factual and verifiable, and not to exploit patients' vulnerability. Publish your doctors, hours, walk-in times, fees where they apply, and health information that is evidence-based and cautious. Patient testimonials, comparisons with other practices and promotional offers are restricted in many countries, and forbidden in France.

Can patients send prescription requests or receive test results through the app?

No. Prescription requests and test results are health data, which the GDPR and HIPAA protect with specific rules, and in France only a certified health-data host (HDS) may store them for you, which GoodBarber is not. The app is there to inform; these exchanges stay in your medical tools.

Can a health center have a single app for the whole team?

Yes: one page per profession or per clinician, a shared practical sheet and notifications sent in the health center's name. Each clinician updates their own information from the back office, with their own access.

What can we send as a notification?

General information addressed to everyone who uses the app: a closure, a locum doctor, the start of a vaccination campaign, a heat alert. A notification shows on the lock screen: it must never carry information about a patient.

Does a medical practice need an app or a website?

They do different jobs. The website presents the practice to people looking for it. The app stays with the patients who install it: it tells them about a closure or a campaign with a notification and keeps your advice at hand.

Where is the app's data hosted?

On servers located in Europe. The app's Privacy Center also handles consent, the permissions requested on the phone and the terms of use.
