Why a destination's own app, when sustainable travel apps already exist?
General apps list places all over the world; yours says what only you know: the bus that serves the trailhead on Sundays, the site closed until July, the farm that welcomes visitors. You update it yourself, and you reach visitors on their phone when conditions change.
Do visitors need an account?
No: the map, the sheets, the calculator and the alerts are open to everyone who downloads the app or opens its web version. Nothing here requires signing in.
Where do the calculator's emission figures come from?
From the source you choose. The tool writes the section's code; you check the emission factors it contains, replace them with those of your reference body, then publish. Name the source under the result.
How do I show which places can be reached by public transport?
Give each place a tag such as “by bus” or “by train”, and add the stops as points on the map. The sheet says which stop to get off at and how long the walk is.
Can I warn visitors that a site is closed?
Yes: a push to devices in the area you draw, sent at once or scheduled, which opens your trail conditions section. Update the sheet at the same time: the change shows in the app without a new store release.
Can I reserve some guides for paying visitors?
Yes, with Memberships: your detailed guides go to subscribers, who pay with their Apple or Google account. There is no GoodBarber commission; the stores keep their share. The rest of the app stays open to all.
