Create a catering app
Catering app for weddings and corporate events: seasonal menus, complete quote requests, booked tastings
Couples and corporate event planners browse your seasonal menus, send you a quote request with nothing missing, book their tasting and confirm the final headcount before the deadline.
Your catering company gets its own app, built without code: it runs natively on iPhone and Android and also opens as a web version. It holds your seasonal menus with the allergens in each dish, detailed quote requests, tastings booked on weekdays and the final headcount. It takes no orders and no payments: every event is priced in your quote.

Your menus, organized the way clients choose
Cocktail reception
Hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, small bites served in glasses, carving or grill stations in front of the guests, with the number of pieces per guest you recommend for the length of the reception.
Plated wedding dinner
Appetizer, main course, cheese and dessert, with two or three choices per course; the cocktail hour and the next-day brunch presented separately.
Conference buffet
Morning coffee, mid-morning break, lunch, afternoon break: a full day built around the agenda, so attendees are back in their seats on time.
Kids' menus
A simple main and a dessert for the youngest guests, and the age from which a child counts as an adult in your quote.
Allergens, dish by dish
Gluten, tree nuts, milk, eggs: under each dish, the allergens you already flag on your printed menus, shown on each menu's page.
From first message to final headcount
A wedding takes months to plan, a conference a few weeks. Three steps go through the app; the quote itself stays between you and your client.
A complete quote request
The Form asks for the date, the venue address, the number of guests, cocktail reception or seated dinner, with or without service by your staff, and the dietary needs to plan for. A file field takes a photo of the venue's floor plan or of the catering kitchen your cooks will work in. You're notified by email of every request, and the back office keeps them all.The tasting, booked
After your first quote, the client books their tasting in the app: one hour, on a weekday, for two, three or four people, a few months before the date for a wedding. The menu is finalized there, at the table. For a conference, clients often skip it: the menu is approved on the quote. The final headcount, before the deadline
Ten days before the event, for example, the client fills out a second Form, "Guest count confirmation": adults, children, vendor meals, allergies table by table and a photo of the seating chart. An email tells you as soon as it comes in; you check it against the quote before placing your orders.
The tasting, by appointment
One-hour slots, Tuesday to Thursday, away from your busy weekends
The "Tastings" section only opens on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, in one-hour slots: on weekends, your team is out serving events. The booking form asks for the event date, how many people are coming to taste and the menu they have in mind. A minimum notice of three days before booking gives you time to buy the ingredients for that menu. Both of you, client and caterer, get an email confirming the tasting with the form answers, and it appears in your Google Calendar. On the Wednesday you're catering a conference, the event already in that calendar closes the tastings it overlaps. Your kitchen's address and directions are waiting for the client on the Contact page.

Catering app: questions from caterers
Can my clients order and pay for a buffet in the app?
No: this app has no cart and no payments. Your clients choose a menu, send a quote request, and you answer with your quote, by email or phone. If you also sell boxed meals that people order for everyday delivery, that's the job of the eCommerce app, a separate GoodBarber product: see apps for local ordering and delivery.
How do I get complete quote requests?
In the Form, mark as required every field you can't quote without: date, venue address, number of guests, cocktail reception or seated dinner. A drop-down list shows your packages, checkboxes cover dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten-free, no pork) and a free-text paragraph covers allergies. You get an email for each one; requests stay in the back office and export as a CSV file for your tracking spreadsheet.
How should I organize tastings?
With a "Tastings" booking section linked to your Google Calendar, in one-hour slots, on the days your kitchen is free. Each slot takes a single booking: one couple, who can bring their best man, maid of honor or parents if they like. A group tasting night, with several couples at the same time, can't be booked seat by seat: take sign-ups through a Form instead. If you charge for tastings, clients pay you on site, never in the app.
How do I get the final headcount in time?
Put the deadline in your quote, ten days before the event for example, and show the client where to find the "Guest count confirmation" form in the app. That's where they enter the number of adults and children, vendor meals, such as the DJ's or the photographer's, and allergies table by table. The app doesn't chase any individual client: if the confirmation is late, you're the one who calls.
Where do I show allergens?
On each menu's page, under each dish, with the same information as on your printed menus and your quotes. You write the list yourself, as you do today: the app displays it, it doesn't check it. A specific guest's allergies reach you with the guest count confirmation, table by table.
My menus change every season: how do I let clients know?
Publish each new menu as a news post in the Menus section. With Automatic push, which is free, a notification goes out as soon as it's published, to every phone where the app is installed and notifications are allowed. To announce your fall menu a week before it comes out, also schedule a push notification for the date you choose. Take down the old menu the same day, so no client asks for asparagus in November.
Does the app handle my inventory and recipe specs?
No. Inventory, recipe specs, supplier orders and staff scheduling stay in your management software or spreadsheets. The app works on the client side: it presents your menus, takes quote requests, books tastings and collects the final headcount.
Extension Store
Only one paid extension for a caterer: Appointment booking for tastings, optional with the Premium plan, built into the Pro plan. The Form, CMS Articles, Automatic push, CMS Contact and Push notifications are free.
The quote is yours; the app gathers everything you need to write it
GoodBarber builds your catering business an app for iPhone, Android and the web: seasonal menus and allergens, complete quote requests, booked tastings, guest count confirmation and a notification for every new menu. It takes no orders and no payments, and it leaves your inventory and recipe specs alone.
