The date request, then your quote

A weeknight to plan the wedding
45-minute slots on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, by video call or face to face
Open a "Planning meeting" section with 45-minute slots, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9:15 pm: three meetings a night. The couple enters the wedding date and venue, the package they chose and "video call or in person"; those answers come with the confirmation email sent to them and to you. The meeting lands in your Google Calendar, where your booked gigs already sit: the company party you play on a Thursday night closes the slots it overlaps. For a video call, send the link from your usual software: the app sets the time, not the meeting.

Your Apple and Google developer accounts are yours to pay, outside your GoodBarber plan. The app collects no money: your quotes are paid the way they are today.
Questions wedding DJs ask
Can couples book my Saturday directly in the app?
No, and deliberately so. A slot has a fixed length, meant for a meeting, not for a night that runs from 5 pm to 3 am. And a date is a conversation: distance, package and the venue's curfew all change the quote. So the couple requests their Saturday through the Form; once the quote is accepted, you enter it in your Google Calendar.
How do I set up the planning meeting?
Give it its own booking section, with 45-minute slots on weeknights. A minimum notice of 48 hours spares you a meeting you discover the same day; a 60-day booking window keeps planning to the last two months. For a 90-minute meeting with a gear demo, open a second section on the same Google Calendar: any booking on one side closes the slots at the same time on the other.
Where do couples give me their do-not-play list?
In a separate "Our songs" Form: must-plays, do-not-plays, first dance, ceremony music. Each submission reaches you by email; the back office stores every one, and the CSV export puts them in a spreadsheet. The booking form, for its part, serves all your sections: better to keep it short.
How do I let couples hear my mixes?
Connect a Podcast section to your mixes' RSS feed: each new mix shows up in it. Filmed sets go through the YouTube section, fed by your channel; for a clip shot at a wedding, ask the couple first. The tracks in a mix belong to their authors: make sure your streaming is properly licensed under the rules of your country.
A June date opens up: how do I get the word out?
Post a news item, "A June Saturday just opened up", then a push notification, right away or scheduled. It goes to every phone with the app and notifications allowed, or to one geographic area only. As for the couple who wanted that Saturday, tell them yourself: the app doesn't message anyone individually, but their email is in their request.
Can couples pay the deposit in the app?
No: no section takes money, neither booking nor the Form, deposits included. The couple pays you by check or bank transfer once the quote is signed, as before. Your date-hold and cancellation terms belong on your packages page.
Can guests request songs during the party?
The app is made for the couple, not for their hundred and twenty guests, who won't install it for one night. It offers no live song requests from the dance floor. If the couple cares about their guests' wishes, they collect them beforehand, with the RSVPs, and add them to their list.
