Consultations bookable 24/7

A meeting request becomes a consultation, on a slot that is actually free

Your clients open Appointment booking, pick the lawyer and the type of consultation, see the free slots and confirm in a few taps, evenings and weekends included. Each slot takes a single booking. With every booking, you and your client receive a confirmation email. The consultation is paid as it is today, outside the app.

A calendar that follows how your firm works

Opening hours, exceptional closures, length of each consultation

Each type of appointment gets its own section and length, all linked to your Google Calendar: 45 minutes for a first consultation, 30 for a follow-up, one hour for a case meeting. Set your availability and your exceptional closures, leaving time between two ranges to prepare the next appointment or get to court. The slots offered are calculated from these settings, with no double booking.

Synced with Google Calendar

The app and each lawyer's calendar stay aligned, both ways

Appointment booking syncs with Google Calendar both ways: a consultation booked in the app goes into the lawyer's calendar, and what changes in their Google Calendar shows up in the app. Each lawyer keeps the tool they already use.

One calendar per lawyer

Clients book with the lawyer handling their case, not with the front desk

Create as many calendars as your firm has lawyers, each with its own hours, blocked days, exceptional closures and Google Calendar. Clients pick the lawyer, then the slot, and the appointment lands straight in the right calendar. A firm with several partners keeps a single app, and each lawyer their own availability.

Setting up your firm's app: what you configure, in practice

Three settings in the back office so that a meeting request becomes a confirmed consultation.
  1. Your appointment types, with their length

Create one section per type of appointment: first consultation (45 min), follow-up (30 min), phone appointment (20 min), case meeting (1 h). Each has its own slot length.
  2. One calendar per lawyer

Link each lawyer's sections to their Google Calendar, with their hours, blocked days and exceptional closures: a consultation booked in one closes the overlapping slot in the others.
  3. The booking form

Choose the fields asked when booking: type of matter, opposing party to run a conflict check, phone number, free message. The client confirms, and you both receive a confirmation email.

Documents received before the consultation

Your articles and firm news

Explain your practice areas and publish your analyses; with Automatic push, readers are notified of every new article.

The Contact section brings together a call, a text message and an email to the firm.

AI in your firm's app

Three concrete uses, with their price.

An assistant that answers from your articles

“What happens at a first consultation?” The Chatbot searches the articles and content published in your app, then answers in the language of the question. It relies on what you have published; advice on a case remains yours.

A questionnaire that points to the right lawyer

Describe the section you want in the back office, for example “a questionnaire that tells clients, depending on their type of matter, which lawyer of the firm to see”, and the AI Extension Builder generates it in your app, in your design.

An article published from Claude or ChatGPT

The MCP server connects your app to the AI assistant you already use: you ask it to publish your latest analysis in the app, you confirm, it runs on your app.

Law firm app builder: frequently asked questions

Which app builder should a law firm choose?

One that publishes native iOS and Android apps and puts appointment booking, articles and notifications in the same subscription, with no third-party service to add. GoodBarber has done this without code since 2011. A private client area is added with Authentication and User groups; a custom calculator is created by simply asking the AI Extension Builder. The app is not practice management software, though: no billing, no case tracking, no document management system.

Can a law firm offer appointment booking in its app?

Yes. Appointment booking turns a request into a consultation in the chosen lawyer's calendar, synced with Google Calendar, with a booking form whose fields you choose. Each slot takes a single booking, and each booking triggers a confirmation email, to you and to the client. No code is needed.

What information is a lawyer allowed to publish in an app?

The same as on the firm's website: the app is a communication medium, subject to the rules of your bar or regulator on lawyer advertising, such as your state's version of ABA Model Rules 7.1 to 7.3 in the United States. It can present your lawyers and practice areas, how to book, and your analyses, as long as the information is truthful and not misleading, and nothing covered by professional confidentiality appears in it. Use notifications to inform your readers; before using them to offer your services to a specific person, check your bar's rules on solicitation.

How much does a law firm app cost?

A native iOS and Android app starts with the Premium plan, plus Appointment booking; the Pro plan includes it, along with Authentication and User groups. The Standard plan, limited to the web app, does not offer Appointment booking. Hosting, notifications and updates are included; developer accounts are paid directly to Apple and Google.

Can each lawyer in the firm have their own calendar?

Yes: create one calendar per lawyer, with their hours, blocked days and Google Calendar. Your clients pick the lawyer, then the slot.

Can the app charge for the consultation when clients book?

No. Appointment booking records the booking, it takes no payment. Fees and retainers are paid as they are today, outside the app.

Can I offer video consultations?

Appointment booking reserves the slot; the video call takes place with the tool you already use, and you send the client the link. GoodBarber has no built-in video conferencing.

Does the app send reminders before an appointment?

Not automatically: each booking triggers a confirmation email, to you and to your client. For a reminder, schedule a push from the back office.

Where is client data hosted?

On servers located in Europe. The app's Privacy Center also handles consent, the permissions requested on the phone and the terms and conditions.

Does a law firm need an app or a website?

They play different roles. The website presents the firm to people looking for it on a search engine. The app serves the relationship with clients who install it: booking a consultation in a few taps, reading your analyses, reaching the firm in one tap, finding the content reserved for them.
