User groups

With the User Group extension, you have the possibility to divide your users into different categories. Each user can be part of one or more groups, or not belong to any of them. This way, you can use these groups to create consistent audiences within your app, or simply to gather people in the same category, according to your own selection criteria.

This extension allows you to manage your users by customizing the access rights to the sections of your app. You can restrict certain actions to one or more user groups. Choose the restrictions to apply to your user groups. For each group define the parts of your app that are accessible or restricted. If you want you can restrict the total access to your app for some user groups. You define for each group, the sections of your app accessible or restricted and customize the design and content of the page displayed in case of restricted access.

You are free to choose the criteria for defining your groups: age range, interests, sector of activity, location, it's up to you! This way, you can create an app adapted to each of your audiences, by choosing the most coherent content according to the established groups.

As for the other sections of your app, the Groups section can be visible to your users. They will be able to see the different profiles registered in your app, as well as the groups they belong to. If you prefer to restrict this section to all your users, or only to one or more groups, this is still possible, in the same way as for the other sections of your app.
