Create a creative skills video app
Creative skills video course app: your long tutorials, with no bandwidth bill
Video editing, photo retouching, motion design, lettering: your subscribers follow full courses, watch them again as often as needed, and you don't pay for the plays.
The app for your creative skills school, on phones, tablets and the web, with no code: a video section per discipline reserved for subscribers, an article and an exercise file under each course, and a notification with every release.
Free 30-day trial - No credit card required

Forty-minute tutorials, with no count of the plays
Bandwidth isn't billed: a subscriber can rewatch the same lesson ten times
An editing or retouching course is watched in full, then rewatched in parts, with the software open alongside. Those repeated plays don't add to your GoodBarber subscription, whether you have a hundred students or far more. Only the space to store your files varies with the plan: Pro gives more than Premium.

A course catalog, sorted by skill
Editing, photo retouching, motion design, lettering: one section per discipline
Each discipline has its own Videos section, with courses from beginner to advanced. Upload your files to the back office: they are encoded for iPhone, Android and the browser. A polished thumbnail for each course, and your students know what they'll learn before they press play.

An app in your name, an online training site, or a paid video channel?
Three ways to sell creative courses on video, and what stays in your hands.
| Your app with GoodBarber | Online training site | Video channel with paid subscriptions | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost of plays | bandwidth not billed | depending on the platform's model | covered by the platform |
| Your brand on the stores | your iOS and Android app | depending on the platform | no, your channel in their app |
| Subscription price | set by you, store by store | under the platform's rules | within the tiers offered |
| Progress tracking, certificate | no | often included | no |
| Exercise files | attached PDF, hidden from non-subscribers | depending on the platform | link in the description |
Video for the technique, the article for the method
Under each lesson, the settings, the shortcuts and the exercise file
An article goes with each course: the settings used, the keyboard shortcuts, the steps to repeat. The exercise file is attached as a PDF; if the article is reserved, that PDF is hidden from non-subscribers. Keep one free lesson per discipline: it's the one that makes people want to subscribe.

The video editor who trains freelancers
Long courses, software on screen, one per feature: her subscribers come back to the same passages as they work.
The creativity coach
He doesn't teach software but a way of working: finding ideas, getting unstuck, keeping a sketchbook. Same app, same sections, with more written exercises.
The illustrator who teaches step by step
For drawing lessons written and illustrated one step at a time, the art lessons in articles app is a better fit.
Art lessons in articlesA release calendar your students look forward to
Wednesday's course goes live on time, and the notification follows
Prepare a month of courses ahead and schedule their release: each one triggers an automatic notification. Students who haven't subscribed yet can get a different message, about the month's free lesson, because sends can be targeted by subscription status.

How much does a creative video course app cost?
With Premium, the app goes out on the stores; selling needs Memberships on top, whereas Pro already has it. Video encoding, notifications and app updates cost nothing extra, and neither does bandwidth.
| Premium · the stores and the web version | $55 /month, billed yearly |
| Memberships, on Premium | $49 /month |
| Pro · subscriptions and more storage | $105 /month, billed yearly |
Storage for your courses depends on the plan. On each subscription, the Apple or Google commission applies, 15% in most cases; GoodBarber takes none.

Creative video course app: frequently asked questions
Is the number of plays of my videos limited?
No: every play is free for you, because bandwidth isn't billed to you. The limit is on storage space, set by your plan.
I'm a creativity coach, not a software trainer: is this app right for me?
Yes: your videos on finding ideas, keeping a creative journal or getting past a block are organized the same way, by theme, with a written exercise under each one.
Can I sell a single course?
No: subscribers pay for the whole catalog at once, monthly or yearly, and all get the same access.
Can I keep my YouTube videos for subscribers only?
No, a YouTube section can't be reserved. Keep your free excerpts there, and upload your paid courses to a Videos section.
Can several instructors publish?
Yes: each trainer gets a back office account with rights you set, and their courses carry their name. The number of accounts depends on the plan.
Which plan for a creative course app?
If your courses are heavy, Pro: subscription selling is included and storage is larger. Otherwise, Premium with Memberships. Either way, selling requires a web version live on your domain.
GoodBarber sells your creative skills video courses by subscription, in your own app and with no GoodBarber commission
One section per discipline, long courses with no bandwidth billed, reserved articles and exercise PDFs, a push with every course, a Chatbot on your notes, AI Extension Builder.
