How to broadcast sounds

Podcasts

A Podcasts section hosts your episodes in your app. Upload each audio file, and your listeners get a player made for long listening.

Add a Podcasts section

You create one with Add a section, in My App, Structure… then search for podcast to find the Podcasts card.

The other tiles connect a podcast you already host elsewhere.

River Daily already has one. Its page leads to the episodes, and to the design of the list and of the player.

Add an episode

In Edit the content, click Add an audio file… and drop an MP3, M4A or WMA file.

It's saved as a draft, with the title stored in the file. You can change it.

Add a picture: it becomes the episode's cover.

Under the player, write a description: the list shows it too.

In Info, you can change the date, set an expiration date, or pin the episode to the top of the list.

Then publish it: the episode reaches your app right away.

The list of episodes

The list of sounds has two templates. Classic Play puts a play button on each episode.

Under Display, switch on Thumbnail to show the covers, next to the description, the date and the buttons.

The player

The Sound page shows the cover, the title, the player and the description.

Under Player, the Music player skips to the previous or the next sound… the Podcast player is made for long episodes.

Choose how far listeners jump forward and back.

You can switch off the playback speed and the sleep timer.

In the preview, try the speeds. The sleep timer works in your iOS and Android apps.

Playback options

In the section's settings, Autoplay plays the next episode, and Loop starts the list over.

To keep listening outside the app, switch on Background audio playback in the Privacy center. It reaches users with your app's next version on the stores.

Publish

Changes to the list and the player reach your app once you publish it, with Publish my project. Listeners get the Podcast player in app versions built since September 2026.
