How to create a form

Forms

A Form section collects what you need from your users: a news tip, a booking, a survey or a registration, even a photo. Every answer reaches you by email and in the back office.

Add a Form section

In My App, Structure, click Add a section at the end of the Menu… then search for form to find the Form card.

Point at it to see the screen it adds: a form your users fill in. Click Add.

Name the section. Then click Add.

It joins your menu, still without questions.

Title and fields

Open the section and click Edit the content.

Give the form a title and, if you like, a few words of introduction.

Then click the blocks of the Fields panel to add your questions.

Each field has a label, a hint inside it and instructions under it. Required is on by default: switch it off for optional questions.

An Email field checks that the address is valid.

A Dropdown offers choices: type each one.

A Paragraph leaves room for a longer answer.

File lets users send a photo, a video or a PDF.

Other blocks cover addresses, dates, phone numbers, prices and section breaks.

In the form, each field can be edited, duplicated, deleted or dragged to a new place.

Settings and design

In Settings, add the email addresses that receive each answer, and rename the Send button if you like.

Write the success message, and choose how users confirm: a pop-up, or a preview of their answers.

Redirection can open another page of your app once the form is sent.

Then save the form.

In Edit the design, set the page's colors and fonts, and those of the fields and buttons.

Camera permission

A warning sign appears: the File field needs the camera… so switch on Camera in Settings, Privacy center, and save. As the page says, a permission reaches users with your app's next version on the stores.

Answers

The preview can't send answers: test your form in the app.

Answers arrive in Display the content, in the section's menu: one line per answer, with its date.

Open one to read every field and download its file.

Export data downloads all your answers as a spreadsheet. Export them before deleting the section: its answers go with it.

Your form reaches your app once you publish it, with Publish my project. Publish again after changing its questions; no new version on the stores is needed.
