You see clients in a room at home, three evenings a week and on Saturdays: your Full Set, Fill, Gel Polish and Removal sections only open on those days, on your Google Calendar. Anything unexpected, entered in that calendar, makes the hours it covers unavailable.

At a counter in a shopping mall, people sit down for a gel polish between errands: that one stays walk-in only. Only full sets and fills, too long to wait around for, open for booking, on the calendar of the tech who does them.
Three techs, three calendars
Each tech has her own sections, one per technique she offers, linked to her own Google Calendar: clients book with the one who knows their nails. Name each section after its tech, "Lea · Full Set", so every client finds hers in the menu.
Technique first, then the time slot
Full set, fill or gel polish: every slot is as long as the job
In the app, the client opens the section for what she's coming in for: a full set, in gel or with tips, a fill, a gel polish. The slots shown match that technique's length, about 90 minutes for a full set, an hour for a fill, 45 minutes for a gel polish. The form asks for the shape and length she wants, then whether she's coming in with work done elsewhere that needs removing: yes or no. You both get a confirmation email with her answers, which also appear in the event on your Google Calendar.

Calendars never mix: what a client books with Lea closes nothing for Ines. The nail art specialist has a section of her own, Nail Art Set, in 2-hour slots, open Thursday to Saturday only. On the Friday she attends training on a new gel line, she adds it to her Google Calendar from her phone: her slots for that day disappear from the app, while her coworkers' stay open. A client who wants detailed nail art knows exactly who to book, and when.

Your nail salon in an app: your questions
A full set runs longer than a gel polish: how do I configure the app?
One section, one length: Full Set at 90 minutes, Fill at 1 hour, Gel Polish at 45 minutes, Removal at 30 minutes. Link them all to your Google Calendar: a fill booked at 10 a.m. removes from the app any full set or gel polish slots it overlaps.
How do I get clients back for their fill?
Have them book it before they leave: while the last coat cures under the lamp, the client opens the app and books her fill three or four weeks out. A 6-week booking window covers that gap. The app doesn't send automatic reminders; at the start of each month, a scheduled push to your whole client list can point out that fill slots are still open.
A client shows up with nails done at another salon: how can I know beforehand?
With a question in the booking form, which all your sections share: "work done at another salon that needs removing: yes or no". The answer appears in the confirmation email and in your Google Calendar. If those removals often take you longer, open a Removal and New Set section instead, with 2-hour slots.
Can clients send me a photo of the nail art they want?
Yes, before the appointment: create a Form section called "My design", with a file field for the picture, and ask for the date of her visit to link the two. The booking itself takes no attachments. You get an email with each submission and can pull out the right gels ahead of time.
Can I ask for a deposit for two hours of nail art?
Not in the app: booking there triggers no payment, neither for the service nor for a deposit. If you require one for long sets, collect it outside the app and post the rule on your price list page, which clients read before booking. A client who can no longer make it cancels on her own, in the app or from her confirmation email: her two hours open up for someone else.
I work from home: can clients see my address?
Only if you publish it. The app shows what you put in it: a contact page with one-tap calling and directions, or just your town and neighborhood. Give out the exact address yourself, by phone or email, once the first appointment is confirmed.
Does the app sell my polishes?
No: nothing is sold in this app, not polish, not cuticle oil, not gift cards. Show your shades and care products in an article, with their price if you like, and sell them on site at the end of the appointment.
