First the length, then the time

Thirty, sixty or ninety minutes: a section for each session length

Clients open the section for the session they want, 60 minutes for example, and only see the times when a full session still fits in the calendar. The form asks how much pressure they like, areas to avoid, a possible pregnancy and, if they have one, their gift card number. They get the confirmation email, and so does the studio, and their answers show up in the therapist's Google Calendar: before walking into the room, she knows to stay away from the right shoulder and use firm pressure on the back.

Before your first session

Arrive ten minutes early

Time to change, drink a glass of water and slow down: a session that starts late still ends on time.

What happens in the room

What to wear, the towels that cover everything but the area being worked on, the oil, the dimmed lights.

Speak up during the session

Too much pressure, too cold, a sensitive spot: the page tells clients they can say so at any point, and the therapist will adjust.

The studio's techniques

Swedish, Balinese, hot stone, chair massage: one article per technique, with the lengths available and what it feels like.

A female therapist, a male therapist: clients choose

One booking calendar each, tied to their own Google Calendar

Many clients prefer to see a woman, others a man, and regulars go back to the same person. So each therapist has their own sections, named after them, and their own Google Calendar: clients choose the person and the length, then the time. Time off entered in one therapist's calendar closes their slots without touching their colleague's, and someone who works three days a week only opens their sections on those days.

What goes through the app, what stays at the studio

The app books your therapists' time and answers clients' questions; money never passes through it.

Breathe, learn, announce: AI in your studio's app

Each use shows its price; none of them books on the client's behalf.
Between sessions

A guided breathing exercise, with a timer

Describe it in one sentence, "breathe in for four seconds, out for six, for five minutes," and the AI Extension Builder builds it into your app, in the same design. It runs on the client's phone, with no account, on the days they don't come in.

A chatbot that knows your techniques

"Is hot stone right for me if I'm always cold?" Drawing on your technique articles, the Chatbot replies and names the articles it used. It doesn't book anything and doesn't replace advice from a health professional.

Wellness massage: the questions studios ask

How do I offer 30, 60 and 90 minutes in the same app?

With three sections, one per length, all linked to the same therapist's Google Calendar. A 90-minute session booked at 2 pm blocks every overlapping slot in the other two. A three-hour time range therefore fits two 90-minute sessions, three 60-minute ones or six of 30. Your prices go on your menu, in a page of the app: the booking screen doesn't show any.

Can clients choose between a female and a male therapist?

Yes: each therapist has their own Google Calendar and their own sections, named after them, "Julie · 60 min" for example. There's no "no preference" option that would spread clients across calendars: clients always pick someone.

How do clients book the couples room?

The room has its own section and Google Calendar, just like a therapist: the couple books it once, for 60 or 90 minutes, and an optional form field collects the second person's name. Since it takes two therapists, open the room during time ranges when their own sections stay closed, or enter each couples session in both of their Google Calendars.

Can I sell my gift cards through the app?

Not in the app, which sells nothing: sell them at the front desk or on your website. A page in the app explains how they work: expiration, which sessions they cover, how to book. The person who received the card enters its number when booking; you'll find it in the confirmation email and check it when they arrive.

A company wants chair massage for its employees: how do I take the request?

Through a request Form: date, number of employees, address, a quiet room for the chair. At 15 to 20 minutes per person, half a day covers about a dozen employees. Once the date is set, block out that half day in the Google Calendar of the therapist who's going: their slots at the studio close. Quotes and invoices go through your usual tools.

Can clients pay for their session when they book?

No: nothing is paid in the app, no session, no deposit, no card hold. Clients pay at the studio or bring their gift card. Put your cancellation policy on the "Before your first session" page; when a client cancels, whether in the app or from their confirmation email, the slot is released and you're notified by email.

Do clients get a reminder before their appointment?

No, there's no automatic reminder and no text message: clients keep the confirmation email they received when booking. For a general announcement, like a closure over the holidays, schedule a push notification: it reaches all your clients or a group, not one person in particular.
