Live weather, for each person's own city

Temperature, sky, humidity and wind, read right now

The section opens on a city and shows its current temperature, the state of the sky, the humidity level and the wind speed. A search field is there to change it: your user types a city name, the section goes and gets its coordinates then its reading, and the screen updates. The icon follows the sky, from full sun to downpour, and the figure counts up to its value instead of appearing all at once.

A local daily puts it at the top of its contents, a tourist office next to its opening hours, a campsite in front of its activity list. The city your user searched for stays on their device: they find it again the next time they open the app, with no account to create, and the reading is requested again at that moment. What they read is from right now, then, not from their last visit.

The section also plans for what can go wrong, and that is where the care shows. A city that can't be found is flagged without wiping the current reading, a field left empty asks for a name, and if the service doesn't answer, a button offers to try again instead of leaving a screen with nothing on it.

  • The whole world is covered, with no city list to set up
  • The section knows it's night over there, and shows it
  • The morning weather check now happens in your app
