The audio guide starts where the visitor stands
A zone around each site, a notification that invites them to listen
Draw a zone around the abbey, the covered bridge, the old tannery. When a visitor's phone enters it, the app shows: “You're at the abbey. Stop 4: hear the story of its builders.” The visitor opens the circuit and plays stop 4. The trigger happens on the phone, provided the visitor has allowed location access; everyone else follows the numbered map.
One episode per stop
Your audio guides, published as a podcast
Each stop has its episode, three to six minutes long, recorded by your guide or an actor, with a photo, and its transcript published as an article alongside. Episodes keep playing with the screen locked and can be downloaded before the walk, for villages where the signal is weak.

The map shows the circuit's stops in order, with the walking time from one to the next and the places to rest: the shady square, the café below the ramparts, the toilets. Visitors who start halfway find the nearest stop and pick up from there.

Offer the historic center circuit to everyone; reserve the medieval villages, the industrial heritage and the night circuit for subscribers, who pay monthly or yearly through the App Store or Google Play. Only episodes uploaded in the app's back office can be reserved: an episode coming from an external podcast feed stays open to all.

How much does a heritage trail app with audio guides cost?

Can visitors listen without a data connection?
Yes, if they download the episodes before setting off: they then play with no network, in the background.
What if a visitor hasn't allowed location access?
They follow the numbered map and play each stop's episode from the list. The notification on arrival is a bonus, not a requirement.
Can the audio guides be in several languages?
Yes: one podcast section per language, each with its own episodes. Visitors open the one they understand.
Can I sell one circuit on its own?
No: the subscription opens every reserved circuit at once, monthly or yearly. There is no one-off purchase of a single circuit.
What about tours with a guide in person?
For private or group tours booked with a guide, the tour guide app with booking fits better; this app is for visitors who explore on their own.
How much does a heritage trail app cost?
