Every fishing spot, on the map

The swim, the access, the parking, the species and the method that works

Place your stretches, ponds and swims in a Map section: each point has a name, an address and a description, with the species present, the type of water (catch and release, night carp fishing, family stretch) and access for people with reduced mobility. The angler taps the point and starts directions to the car park.

The opening, announced on the day

Trout, predators, a stretch closing: a push prepared weeks ahead

Write the trout season opening notification in February and schedule it for that very morning; do the same for predators, then for the closures. A trout stocking, a drought order, a flood that shuts a stretch: the push goes out on the spot. Target a geographic area when the news only concerns one valley, or the members' group when it is meant for them.

This year's rules, in the pocket

Minimum sizes, bag limits, dates and permitted methods

Publish the rules as articles, by species or by stretch, and correct them as soon as the regulations change: the app updates without a new version on the stores. A temporary notice, a stretch closed or a restriction during low water, carries an end date and disappears from the app by itself on that day.

The members' pages

A group for members, sections only they can open

Thanks to Authentication, each angler creates an account; thanks to User groups, you place members in their group from the back office. Reserved sections only open to them: the padlock code for the private lake, the schedule of fish stocking and bank work parties, the minutes of the annual general meeting. Visiting anglers keep the public map and the rules.

Getting the club's app up and running

Four steps, all in the back office.
  1. The map

Place your stretches and swims, with their description and access.
  2. The rules

One article per species or per stretch, and temporary notices with their end date.
  3. The members

Turn on Authentication, create the members' group and choose the sections it opens.
  4. The notifications

Prepare the pushes for openings and closures, scheduled for the right dates.

AI for a volunteer-run club

Fewer calls to the committee, less time at the keyboard.

“Can I keep a 55 cm pike?”

The Chatbot answers from your rules articles and the points on your map, citing its source. You choose the content it reads: the rules and the map, not the members' pages.

A species quiz for the junior fishing school

Describe it in the back office: a photo, four fish names, the minimum size in the answer. The AI Extension Builder then builds that section into the app, with your branding. It is one example among many: the tool does what you describe.

The closure notice, published by your AI assistant

Hooked up to the app through the MCP server, your usual assistant, Claude or ChatGPT, drafts the notice, publishes it and sends the push once you confirm.

What else the app gives anglers

Events

Matches, open days, a fishing festival: the Agenda, with one-tap adding to the phone's calendar.

The junior fishing school

Dates for young anglers' outings, photos from the bank, instructions for parents.

Best catches

A form to send in a photo of one's best catch; you choose the ones you publish.

Contacting the bailiffs

A contact page to call the committee or report pollution to the water bailiff.

Several groups

Members, volunteers, the committee: each group opens its own sections, and one member can belong to several.

A web app

The map and the rules also open in a browser.

The river angling association

It schedules the opening pushes in winter and announces each trout stocking on the day, with the point on the map.

The carp club

Night swims and the lake rules are public; the gate code and the reserved weekend schedule go to members only.

The kayak center on the same lake

Its needs are different: the day's conditions and the paddling routes.
The app for a water sports center

What a fishing club app costs

The iPhone and Android apps require at least the Premium plan. For the members' area, add two options, Authentication and User groups (Pro includes them). The map, the Agenda, articles and push notifications are part of the plan.
Premium · store apps and web app$55 /month, billed yearly
Authentication, on Premium$12 /month
User groups, on Premium$5 /month
Pro · both options built in$105 /month, billed yearly
Apple and Google developer accounts are paid separately, directly to the stores.

Fishing club app: the committee's questions

Can we sell fishing licences or membership in the app?

No. Fishing licences and membership are taken as they are today, through your usual channels, which a link in an article points to; the members' area in the app is one of the things membership brings. This app runs on accounts and groups, which cannot be combined with Memberships.

Who decides that an angler is a member?

You do. The angler creates an account in the app; a committee member then adds them to the members' group in the back office. Removed from the group, for example when membership is not renewed, they no longer see the reserved pages.

Can a notification target just one area?

Yes: target a geographic area, a region or a perimeter you draw, so that the closure of a stretch only alerts local anglers. You can also write to the members' group alone.

Can several volunteers keep the app up to date?

Yes. Each volunteer has their own back office login: three team accounts with Premium, unlimited with Pro.

Do we go through the stores again when the rules change?

No: articles, the map and the agenda change in the app as soon as you publish. The stores play no part in a content change.

How much does a fishing club app cost?

Premium for the store apps, with two options for the members' area (Authentication, User groups); Pro contains both. Hosting, push and updates are covered.
