Sending a newsletter is a great way to stay in touch with your audience and keep them coming back. Whether you've chosen to make a PWA or a native app, your application is the exclusive meeting point for your community, and its important that it provides access to all ways of staying in contact with you or your brand.  That's why we've decided to add a new widget that you can easily integrate into your Home, the Newsletter Widget. 

This month we focused on your app's central point: the Modular Home. With the goals of widening your range of options and allowing you to create the perfect home screen for your app always in mind, we worked on 3 new widgets that will open the doors in terms of engagement, user experience, and design.

We're back today to present a new theme created by Marie-Julie, our designer, that will warm up your app this holiday season!  Like in Sunset, Stardust, and Blurred, the use of a color gradient is present again, with blue tones this time, putting us in the holiday mood. Marie-Julie is showing you, as usual, what your app could look like if you decided to go with this theme. With the SMS add-on, you can send notifications via SMS to your Progressive Web App users.  SMS notifications are a reliable and solid way to send messages on a mobile phone. However, there is a significant difference in cost when comparing them to web push notifications.  Kevin and Seb3 worked on a system that allows for the cost of an SMS to be reduced by up to 90% in certain countries. This update is already available for users with the SMS add-on.

This year's big update was the release of our new product: Progressive Web Apps, and as you know, here at GoodBarber we strongly believe that PWA's are about to revolutionize the way we use both mobile and web. We are committed to giving you the opportunity to enjoy today what everyone will be snatching up tomorrow, which is focused strongly on developments specific to PWA's over the past few months. 

It is now possible to send notifications via SMS with GoodBarber. SMS notifications is a new add-on in the catalogue. Once installed, you can notify the users of your Progressive Web App via SMS.

The parade of the new GoodBarber 4.0 themes continues with today's introduction to the Nightdrive theme!  You're already familiar with the other new ones: Sunset, Stardust, and Blurred. This time, our designer, Marie-Julie decided to go for more of a dark base with a touch of neon by choosing to make black the dominating color, accentuated by tones of red and blue. As usual, you can explore all the customization options available in this infographic, and if this theme inspires you, try it out on your project! 

Today we're back to present a new creation our designer Marie-Julie has come up with. After Sunset and Stardust, now it's time to talk about the Blurred theme!  Blurred is a theme full of warm colors that you can explore from all angles with this infographic to get an idea of what it can do for your project. Discover all of the customization options available, and if this theme happens to inspire you, go to your back office to activate it and personalize it as you please!

We've improved the shortcut feature that allows a user's profile to be access from the NavBar.  The shortcut is now dynamic; if the user is signed into the app, his profile picture is displayed. Otherwise, the default icon appears. 

As you might have noticed, color gradients are an unavoidable trend on the web this year. So GoodBarber allows you to incorporate color gradients into your app.

Today we expanded GoodBarber’s offer with new subscriptions. They are divided into 2 products lines: - A Web line, with 3 subscriptions to create Progressive Web Apps. - A Native line + Web, with 4 subscriptions to create native apps (Android and iOS), as well as Progressive Web Apps.

During the Summer of 2017, the creation and management of iOS apps with GoodBarber was interrupted. This interruption followed a change made by Apple in their guidelines for publishing apps in the App Store. This had no impact on the creation of Android apps and on the creation of Progressive Webs Apps, beside the temporary suspension of V3 / V4 migrations. This post blog retraces the precise chronology of events and specifies the consequences of Apple's new rules on GoodBarber's commercial offer.

Not long ago it was the Sunset theme, now it's the Stardust theme's turn to make its first appearance. Keeping up with the latest trends (as always), you'll notice the recurrence of the gradient characteristic, only this time in shades of blue.  Marie-Julie is giving you a glimpse of what your app could look like if decide to go with the colors in this theme. The Search section is one of the updates in GoodBarber 4.0 It is a whole new section that offers several options for carrying out searches within your app and website. 

Still continuing with the objective of offering you the best tool to create your app, we dedicated the month of June, 2017 to improving and optimizing the 4th version of GoodBarber. In addition to fixing bugs and other various improvements, this month's work concentrated heavily on the intuitiveness of the back office, specific features, and design improvements, for example the revision of the Articles list templates. 

Some time ago, Lesia, our Product Design Manager, set herself the goal of enhancing the fonts in the Builder. Today, we're letting you in on the series of improvements that have been made in regards to this task. These enrichments are a good example of what I appreciate the most at GoodBarber: the attention to detail and perfection.  Clarity and precision–these are the two words that guided the team in rethinking the way you apply a font to the text in your application. 

The header is the zone which makes up the upper part of your app. When used to its potential, it can be a very strategic area. It's an essential element in your app's visual identity as well as an area providing instant access to links. If you are looking for best practices on how to make an app, read on!

GoodBarber 4.0 introduces an array of new ways to conceptualize your application, particularly with the Home section or with the Menu divided by content, but a fresh take can also be seen in terms of the visual approach. We've already mentioned in our "from mobile to desktop" article that the design of the V4 user interface is inspired by mobile, but spreads throughout all screens, including desktop. 

We have added 10 new widgets for the map section. Widgets are the elements you use to build the home page of your app. On the home page, you can use them to display content or put links to the sections of your app.

We’ve introduced extra security measures for the loyalty card QR code. From now on, it will be possible to destroy an existing QR code and replace it with a new one.
